IFRANA submitted comments and communicated with DEC after the Department released subsequent drafts. IFRANA and its allied trades have also expressed industry concerns to Governor Cuomo’s Office. While the finalization of this guidance has been delayed, the industry is committed to a unified, workable solution in NewYork State.

The Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development submitted its report, “Healthy Environment, Healthy Canadians, Healthy Economy: Strengthening the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999,” to the House of Commons. IFRANA will continue to coordinate with those on the ground in Canada to provide feedback to the government.
