BRANDY

AVELEDA PORTUGAL, OPORTO Adega Velha is born out of the expertise of the cellar masters of Aveleda that with the best grapes of the Vinho Verde wine region produce an exquisite and rich old brandy. Aveleda Velha Old Brandy 80PF / 750ML Considered by many to be the best Portuguese “eau-de-vie”, ranking amongst the finest Armagnacs. Grapes are carefully selected from the Quinta da Aveleda estate vineyards to produce a light wine with balanced acidity. This wine is subjected to slow distillation in a Charentais distiller from the Cognac region in France then left to rest in French Limousin oak casks, resulting in a rich, harmonious, complex perfume, reminiscent of wild flowers and berries. A soft, velvety brandy with hints of oak. BRANDY SIGNANI SINGANI 63 BOLIVIA, TARIJA Singani 63 is unique among spirits to be given both a DO (Designation of Origin) and a GI (Geographical Indication). That’s your assurance the grapes are grown at a minimum altitude of 5,250 feet, and only within the confines of the historic home of Singani in the Andes. Singani 63 80PF / 750ML Distilled from a single variety white grape-the Muscat of Alexandria-whose definitively aromatic character makes a unique spirit. Gold Medal Craft Spirit Awards

For 7 years Steven Soderbergh fought tirelessly to get this clear, mixable spirit imported into the US after first drinking it while shooting the movie “Che” in Bolivia. “Up to that point, I was used to drinking something that did one thing. I was going to have to call vodka on the phone and have that conversation – this was serious.” Soderbergh has even co-petitioned (with the Bolivian government) to the U.S. Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau to recognize Singani as its own unique category, not unlike Pisco and Cachaça.
