… A woman who is associated with the Kalari team as a therapist, Praveen’s wife, comes to do her pranam to Sri Ganesh and asks me whether the massage treatment has helped (some kind of poultice was applied a few times on my lower back); I tell her frankly that it did nothing and that I had expected application of an actual knowledge and interest in this case as a study and a challenge but had found instead a sort of casual, good-natured, distracted indifference; she seems to understand and promises to make arrangements so that Praveen himself would give me a course of massage sessions and show me exercises for unblocking the spine… So perhaps there is still a chance of my finding some help in trying to reverse this condition…?

… I am still groping and exploring for the right way (for me, for this place) to do the Aarti, that would please Sri Ganesh and raise the quality of the atmosphere… … There is a lot to do in this garden, as there is of course too in the garden of “Sincerity” and, without P to share the load, I find it rather overwhelming and I am quite unsure about it all; every day I try to push back my physical limitations and regain some capacity, but it is a little precarious…
