Only goods discharged in the Customs Harbour from for­ eign countries or goods entering Denmark proper from the Free Port are subject to dues. No dues are charged on transit goods from foreign coun­ tries or goods in bond, nor on any goods loaded in Copen­ hagen. In the case of re-exports of certain commodities, i. e. prin­ cipally coal, coke, grain, salt, petroleum, and other oils, timber, fir and spruce — a refund of dues paid may be ob­ tained irrespective of the time between the date of import and export, when the goods in question are shipped to in­ land or foreign ports and — for coal and coke — also when they are transported by land to foreign countries. Charges for Opening Bridges Knippelsbro: charges range from Kroner 1.66 to Kroner 4.98 per vessel according to tonnage. There is no charge for opening the other bridges. When the bridges are opened outside the stipulated times an extra charge is made. For times of opening see page 71. Icebreaker Dues The Port Authority’s icebreaker assists vessels, bound for Copenhagen, in the Sound and Drogden and in and out of the harbour. This s e rv ic e js fr e e o f charge.
