The American Alchemist Hosted by EC Proof, the geniuses behind 28 Hong Kong Street, Atlas andManhattan Bar, our inaugural tasting and cocktail series The American Alchemist was met with overwhelming response. The first event held in October saw Members at a fun gin tasting and G&T class; the second event in November was centered on rum tasting, while the third session in January featured whisky tasting. The penultimate event in February had Members taste agave cocktails, and the series culminated in our final event on March 14. The SMASH! cocktail making session and contest was oversubscribed, and we opened up more slots so more Members could taste the delicious whisky and rum SMASH cocktails. Our very own Club bartenders Dens, Simon and Monzie had a friendly showdown to create their very own unique cocktails, with Simon emerging as champion!
