information into their computers to validate the license. They are concerned that they will receive the technical support emails. Typically this would not be a problem, but the support needs to come through the campuses since the software is loaded onto the individual computers. This is one reason why the product has not yet been rolled out. If SBCJC goes ahead and provides the download to the colleges, please ask your instructors to contact your campus support representative with questions. ii. Jennifer Leimer suggested that we setup a module, similar to that of Gustav that could provide each individual colleges contact information. Audra Leverton suggested having Ive setup an email account for Respondus that had an automated email that provided the individuals with the college contact information. iii. Audra Leverton asked about the schools that currently have their own licenses for Respondus. Christian stated that schools that already have the 3.5 version should be able to enter the new licensing information for a seamless transition. Those colleges whose contract has already expired should be able to re-activate Respondus using the new information as well.

OPEN FORUM a. TEXTBOOKS and FINANCIAL AID. i.

Chris Jenkins would like to know how all the schools handle ordering textbooks for students with financial aid. His also asked if schools registered students before the student’s financial aid had been approved and/or received. Most schools will allow a student to register if the financial aid is in progress; even if that means that they are unable to purchase their textbook. ii. Holly stated that Northeast MS Community College uses the online book store MBS Direct. This service works well with financial aid. Students who are on financial aid will either go to the bookstore or Holly to receive a voucher. This voucher includes what is left from their financial aid and can be used for purchasing textbooks from MBS Direct. The on-campus bookstore receives a small percentage of the purchases made through MBS Direct. iii. Derrix Betts stated that Coahoma also uses an online bookstore, but they use the online bookstore for backup purposes. When their textbook store runs out of a textbook, the students are able to purchase online. They currently use E-Campus as their online bookstore.
