All the courses are being designed in Dreamweaver. We would also like to offer these in D2L after we offer them through Blackboard. Terry will need to discuss this option with Jennifer and Buffy for Desire2Learn. Terry asked if schools need formal PD handouts for the online professional development credit. Certificates will be given upon completion of the course. Terry would like to have a system in place that can use the adaptive release tool so that when participants have completed the necessary thresholds, a link will become available allowing them to complete information for the certificate. Martha Lou stated that she has several adjuncts who also teach at local high schools. They are unable to accept certificates for CEU’s, which is what the state department is going to require. Martha Lou provides the CEU’s for her adjuncts. Most of your institutions process CEUs and their offices may be able to assist with these types of CEU credits. Keri stated that anything done outside of HINDS needs to be pre- approved. Buffy made the recommendation that there be a caveat added to the self- registration page that stated that instructors need to check with their CEU, Professional Development, or SACS representatives to ensure that this will work for their CEU credit. We may also want to add this to the announcement page so that they do not spend the time completing the course before approval has taken place. Terry will email the group with the date/time for the pre-conference workshop conference call. He would like us to discuss what worked or did not work at the Pre-Conference this year. These will help us make needed changes for future pre-conference sessions. d. ENROLLMENT TOOL REQUESTS – Chris Square. Request for final grades submission to appear on the summary report so that all DLCs can see the grade distribution for the entire class. Each school would like to get the overall grade distribution and retention rate so that we can see if it is a problem with our student or the class as a whole. We are not interested in seeing the individual student’s grades for the entire course, but the grade distribution at the bottom of the report. We just need the individual students listed for our institution. Ive was present at the meeting and stated that this would be possible. Chris Square will forward this request to Christian Pruitt. e. READI Assessment – Tish Stewart. We received the updates for READI. READI offers some webinars on how to use the system. There is also a reordered version of the new READI Administrators for all DLCs that are created as admin in the system. You can break the logins down by campus and instructors. They now have a one page summary that can be emailed to the course instructor. This tool is something that we really need to use. Holmes uses this for LLS courses, although several other instructors use them in their online courses.

VI. SBCJC BUSINESS – Christian Pruett and Terry Pollard. Holly at NEMCC asked if we could move up pre-registration to March 24 th ; however, this has been approved by the Deans association. The
