should look heavily at product usage reports to see which products we can cut back on (many colleges mentioned Instructor Insight not being used). a. VOTE: Christa Wilhite made a motion to add in the adoption Catalog to the Canvas renewal with the caveat that the group decides to continue to use it (based on feedback given from Hinds). Jennifer Leimer seconded. Motion approved. Votes recorded on Page 7 of Minutes i. Canvas Catalog would be ready June 2018, if colleges still decide to use it. VOTE: The MSVCC Quality Committee made a motion to enter into a consortium agreement with Quality Matters in support of meeting consortium level strategic planning goals and to promote a consortium wide focus on quality. Christa Wilhite seconded. Motion passed with 7 colleges voting yes; 1 college voted no; the rest of the colleges abstained from the vote. 8 total colleges voted. Votes recorded on Page 7 of Minutes. a. As a reminder, the cost of this adoption would be $23,100 for all colleges combined. The Quality Committee will not make An MCC student was writing an essay for an ENG final, saved it, and it did not upload to Canvas. The student was using Google Chrome, and BVirtual. Haley reviewed the student’s recording in BVirtual, and saw that Microsoft Edge was being used (however, Google Chrome was the browser listed under the Canvas User Analytics). Microsoft Edge is set up with the foundation of Google Chrome, so that is how it reads in Canvas. Canvas Support informed Haley to download the CSV file to look at String Agent to see which browser the student was actually using. However, these String Agent files are very hard to read. Haley explained to Laura Sellers that this is confusing, and wanted to bring it to our attention. 1. Krista is going to mention these issues to Laura Sellers, and have her address them at our monthly meetings. A Google Doc may be sent to the group to help us consolidate our unresolved Canvas Support issues. Christa mentioned that several instructors reported that student’s Turnitin submissions were not showing in Speedgrader. Many other colleges had experienced this same issue. Canvas Support was not able to provide a resolution; it is likely to be a Turnitin Issue. 1. Turnitin will be present at our Retreat, so please gather any questions or concerns that you have. recommendations or specifications as to the pace for training or implementation at individual schools; rather each institution is encouraged to move at their own pace with an implementation method that is appropriate for their individual situation.
