MELA Meeting Minutes 2003 - 2017

Catalog was $1,500 per college with an implementation fee for first year 7k. Keri Cole recommends that as part of this we ask they come up with a better solution for sharing Catalog offerings. Currently 20 minutes programming to pull in a course. c. Blackboard Collaborate – Expires 9/30. Extending contract with no problems. Votes were contingent upon ITS approval and no major revisions. Extended for a year. Will run dual platforms once we get new system in place for training, etc. 191K negotiated vs 240k. e. Link-Systems- 453k paid. Largest contract. Have large pool of hours available now. DC/DE caused increase in hours because students are submitting multiple drafts on paper submissions. Need to reach out to instructors and work with them on best practices. Recommend that we explore options for future for other tutoring services that could better serve us and meet a better price point. Use live session with tutor instead of paper center. d. BFAC – Up for renewal. 40k annually. Prepare to vote next month regarding renewal.

2) Request for info from Support Committee to compile some info on various contracts in preparation for renewals.

3) Update on RFP - Award rescinded to selected vendor. We could have gotten customized API, but it would have needed to be included in RFP originally. ZOOM should not be contacting anyone; in silent period of RFP. Trying to negotiate better price with second vendor.

4) Keri Cole wants a list of contracts and when they are renewed for review, if it’s available in the MELA Course. Krista LeBrun will share the information with the group.

In progress: column added for survey completion, course info on top of pages, both completed in approximately a month.

Needs clarification:

Screen jump when setting a course as Active. May depend on screen size and set up. Needs concrete example of incident. Christa Wilhite suggests set all to active if it would be easier.
