According to audited enrollment, first-time, full-time freshman brought an average ACT composite score of 18.2 to ECCC in fall 2018. This was the eleventh (11 th ) highest average in the system. The MACJC average was 18.5. m. For all students, the average ACT composite score at ECCC was 19.4, identical to the MACJC average of 19.4. ECCC ranked ninth in the system. n. The average age of an ECCC student was 20.3 years, the youngest (descending age rank = 15 th ) student population in the system. The MACJC average was 22.0. o. Of fall 2018 students (including dual credit), 47.1% received a federal Pell grant, the sixth highest percentage in the system. The MACJC average was 45.0%. p. Of total fall 2018 headcount, 51.5% of ECCC students enrolled in at least one MSVCC course. This percentage was fifth in the MACJC. The system average was 44.7%. q. ECCC generated 3.1% of its credit hours through developmental courses, representing the second lowest (rank 14 th ) percentage in the system, which averaged 6.4% and included college percentages as high as 9.5%. The lowest (15 th ) percentage was 2.0%. A review of course numbers in the audit data reveals ECCC to be a leader in working to minimize the developmental credit load on students (development credit does not count toward graduation). There continue to exist diverse models throughout the system, including REA courses at some colleges. r. ECCC generated 22.7% of fall 2018 credit hours through CTE instruction. This percentage ranked seventh in the MACJC, which averaged 23.4%. The top-ranked college generated 34.5% of credit hours through CTE.
