Proposed Newman Jligq §rl7ool
• HE Resurrectionist Fathers, distinguished in the field of education, now staff the Newman High School at Fontana, California. During the summer of 1947 they purchased Fontana Inn, with all its ad- jacent buildings, and remodeled it into a well-equipped, modern high school for boys. Encouraged by the enthusiastic response of the people of San Bernardino County, the eminent faculty of this school, with lively faith in the growth of Fontana and neighboring cities, contemplate further development, including construction to provide for six hundred students and the addition of athletic facilities. While this zealous religious order, in their charity, endeavor to assume these heavy burdens, the faithful of this Diocese should cooperate in some gesture of appreciation. Gifts designated for Newman High School will be so allocated.
Alert to build tomorrow's builders-San Bernardino recognizes that skilled craftsmen in technical arts are substantial assets to a community.
