activation of the unlocking function shall only be possible by actuation of two independent controls
simultaneously (both of the hold-to-run type), or
an acoustical signal shall be in continuous operation for the time of activating the unlocking function.
Unlocking of the attachment bracket shall not be possible if the function of the acoustical signal fails by
cable rupture. The correct function of this acoustical signal is to be checked at each engine start.
The activated function of those controls (having alternative functions) shall be indicated (see also 5.5.3). In
case of a mechanical switch over of the hydraulic circuit (e.g. by a ball valve) it shall be possible to verify the
selected operating function from the operator's station. The switch position shall be marked and be clearly
identified from the operator's station.
8.2.3 Identification
The markings according to 8.1.2 are required for the attachment bracket if they are not permanently
integrated into the machine/equipment, except for the marking mentioned in the note.
8.2.4 Instructions
Instructions concerning mounting, locking, checking procedure and the influence on the rated operating/lift
/capacity shall be provided by the attachment bracket manufacturer. The checking procedure for locking shall
be described in detail and include safety precautions in case of required work-cycle check procedure.
