- Only methods studied collaboratively will be considered
- This draft will be used as a template for allergens if WG12 could agree on it

RT-PCR advantages
- Very specific
- consistent/common extraction
- DNA often more stable than proteins during processing
- Multiplexing possible
- Open and standardized methods (see CEN)
