H.
Driveways Used to Satisfy Off-Street Vehicle Requirements
Driveways can only be used to satisfy the minimum off-street vehicle parking requirements for bungalow
court, pocket neighborhood, single-family detached, duplex, manufactured home, and single-family
attached dwellings provided sufficient space is available outside a street right-of-way or easement to
satisfy the standards of this section and this Ordinance. The use of a garage or carport to meet this
requirement shall be prohibited.

Accessible Parking Spaces for Physically Disabled Persons
In each off-street parking area, a portion of the total number of off-street vehicle parking spaces shall
be spaces specifically designated, located, and reserved for use by persons with physical disabilities
(“accessible parking spaces”), in accordance with the standards of the North Carolina Accessibility Code
for Building Construction.

Off-Street Loading Space Requirements
A.
Minimum Number of Off-Street Loading Spaces
New development involving the routine vehicular delivery or shipping of goods, supplies, or
equipment to or from the development site shall provide a sufficient number of off-street loading
spaces to accommodate the delivery and shipping operations of the development’s uses in a safe
and convenient manner.
