An ancillary or secondary living unit, with no direct access to the interior of a single-family detached
dwelling use, that has a separate kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping area, existing either within the same
structure, or on the same lot, as the primary dwelling unit. For purposes of determining maximum density,
an accessory apartment shall not count as a dwelling unit.
