Joint =

Edge or surface where two masonry units are

laid together; the mortar-filled space between

two masonry units.

Jointing =

Finishing of masonry joints. A metal jointer is

used to smooth down and remove mortar. Also

called

tooling.

Keystone =

The center brick or stone in an arch.

Kiln =

Oven for firing brick or tile.
