European news has been dominated over the
last few years by economic gloom, although
there is an optimistic feeling among companies
this year. What has been the main impact on
the wire and cable industry throughout Italy?
As of yet, the current economic situation
shows no real signs of recovery and many
analysts believe 2012 will be the worst
period for industry. As for Italy, the latest
data shows we are now technically in a
recession. This scenario clearly makes it
difficult to be optimistic in the short-term
and the general economic situation obviously
affects the wire and cable industry.
