Shipment
of pipes
for North
Caspian
project
TMK, a producer of pipes for the oil
and gas industry, has completed the
shipment of tubular products for the
construction of deep water pipelines at
the Filanovsky oil and gas condensate
field in the North Caspian Sea, under
development by Lukoil.
Since July 2012, TMK has supplied
70,300 tonnes of pipeswith external
three-layerpolyethylene coating,
including 10,800 tonnes of seamless line
pipes and 59,500 tonnes of longitudinal
welded large diameter pipes.
“Construction and operation of deep
water pipelines requires equipment
that meets stringent safety and
environmental security standards,”
commented TMK’s CEO, Alexander
Shiryaev.
“The fact that TMK is supplying
weldedandseamless products for
the construction of such underwater
pipelines further proves the high quality
and reliability of our pipes and TMK’s
ability to ensure the most broad tubular
products offering for the oil and gas
industry.”
TMK operates 28 production sites in the
USA, Russia, Canada, Romania, Oman,
UAE and Kazakhstan, and two R&D
centres in Russia and the USA. In 2012
the company’s pipe shipments totalled
4.22mn tonnes.
The largest share of TMK’s sales belongs
to high margin oil country tubular
goods, shipped to customers in over
80 countries. The company delivers its
products with an extensive package
of services in heat treating, protective
coating, premiumconnections threading,
warehousing and pipe repairing.
