Princess of Wales Memorial
Playground. Some other known

Royal Albert Hall
4
The Royal Albert Hall was
opened in 1871 and has been
in continuous use ever since.
It is a multipurpose building;
it hosts concerts, but also
exhibitions, public meetings,
scientific conversations and award
ceremonies. Each year more than
350 performances are held at
the Hall. It has a seating capacity
of over 5 500. The Who,
Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd
are only a few bigger names who
have performed on
the Royal Albert Hall stage.
Kensington Palace
6
Kensington Palace has been
a royal residence for about
300 years. The Palace is perhaps
best known as once being
the home of the Queen Victoria,
and later lady Diana, Princess
ofWales, but today the Palace
is the official London residence
for the Duke and Duchess
of Cambridge (William and Kate).
The Palace contains both offices
and apartments for various
members of the royal family.
For some female members
of the royal family life inside
the Palace was quite depressing
and isolating. Both Princess Diana
and Princess Margaret were said
to have been unhappy during their
time in the Palace.
