Buckingham Palace
is the official London
residence of
Her Majesty The Queen.
It has been the official
residence of Britain’s
sovereigns since 1837
and evolved from a town
house to the grand palace
it is today.
Piccadilly Circus is
a famous road junction
and public space
of London’s West End
in the City of Westminster,
built to connect
Regent Street with
the major shopping street
of Piccadilly.
Leicester Square is
the centre of London’s
cinema land.
It is claimed that
the Square contains
the cinema with
the largest screen
and the cinema
with the most seats.
Trafalgar Square
was
built to commemorate
Admiral Nelson and it was
named after the Spanish
Cape Trafalgar where his
last battle, The Battle of
Trafalgar, was won.
In
The National Gallery
you can see art by various
artists including Monet,
Rembrandt, Vermeer and
Van Gogh. There are 2300
works of art displayed in
the gallery.
The Mall
is a grand
professional route from
Her Majesty’s residence,
Buckingham Palace,
to the Admiralty Arch.
St. James’s Park
is the oldest of the
Royal Parks in London.
