Trinity College was founded

in 1546 by Henry VII combining

two buildings already with

in Cambridge University.

Life at the College has changed

greatly over its long history

but a strong academic tradition

has still been maintained.

Bridge of Sighs

The Bridge of Sighs was built to

connect the New Court to the

Third Court on the other side of

the river. It was built in the 19

th

century and it was named after

the covered bridge in Venice.

Round Church

The Round Church, officially

called the Church of the Holy

Sepulchre, was built in 1130,

which makes it one of the oldest

buildings in Cambridge.

The Church is one of the only

four medieval round churches

in England.
