The New National Gallery, the "temple of light and glass", built by Mies van der Rohe, is the home
of 20th century European paintings and sculptures ranging from classic modern art to
contemporary art. The collection includes works by Munch, Kirchner, Picasso, Klee, Feininger, Dix
and Kokoschka, but also Richter, Polke and other contemporary painters.
