An economic boost is expected
with the Ukraine’s staging of the
European football championship
in 2012. This will involve the
construction and renovation
of stadiums, airports, railway
stations, hotels, transportation,
and sport infrastructures in
Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk,
Lvov, Odessa and Kharkov. The
European Bank of Reconstruction
and Development has expressed
readiness to finance the
preparation of infrastructural
objectives for Euro 2012.
In a move to encourage extra
foreign investment, the Ukrainian
parliament has introduced a law
that allows foreign investors to
freely take away profits. The
largest investors are traditionally
Germany, Cyprus, Italy, Russia,
the Netherlands, Austria, and UK.
Taking place in the shadow of
tough times, Tubes & Fittings
Ukraine 2009 will act as a timely
reminder of the need for industrial
regeneration and increased
business activity.
The event will be held on 10-12
June 2009 at KyivExpoPlaza
in Kiev, Ukraine, alongside
partner show Wires & Fasteners
Ukraine 2009. The exhibition
should build on the success of
last year’s event that welcomed
over 150 companies and 6,500
visitors.
