confirmation tests). After some discussion, Konings and Crowley proposed a joint initiative for rapid
(<8 hours) and confirmatory (<24 hours) testing for
Salmonella

Listeria
. The next steps would
be to engage potential supporters for these efforts to conform with the new working group
initiative, form the working group(s), and develop SMPRs. Crowley encouraged all who were
interested to attend the ISPAM Meeting on March 17, 2015.

Next Steps and Adjourn
Prior to adjournment, Freed proposed an idea about global harmonization of a nutritional panel.
Kellogg is becoming more global and is struggling with some of the global analysis. AOAC escalate
this to the SPSFAM Advisory Panel and solicit support from other SPSFAM organizations to see if this
could be launched under the new working group model.
MOTION to adjourn the 2015 AOAC SPSFAM Mid Year Meeting. (Konings/Mindak)
