ATDRCCSLab
– Core Competency Exercise: Goal is for all participants to name all 8
competencies by the end of Cohort Meeting #10
ATDRCCSLab
is an acronym for the BL Leadership
Competencies. Ask each participant to take out
a piece of paper and write down the first letter
of the acronym, in a vertical manner down the
page. Give the group approximately 3-4 minutes
to match the core competencies with the first
letters. When time is up ask the group to name
the competences. (What does “A” stand for,
What does “T” stand for, etc.) When done,
poll the group as to who got at least 2, who
got 4, who got 6 and who got all eight. Tell the
participants that you will be doing this exercise
for the next several meetings.
7 Habits of Highly Effective People –There are three discs available for this
reading. In addition, MP3 files are available on the network. Participants should listen to
the book on their own time between meetings.
