Iceman takes on Littlefinger in the battle that time forgot,
and some more of The Wire cast shows up. Is this
where they catch their big break?
If the movies have taught us anything, it's that you
shouldn't mess with time. Marty McFly's tried it, John
Connor's tried it, and now Bobby Drake and Petyr Baelish
want in on the action. Having failed to learn their lesson
through the consumption of popular culture, the two
attempt (in vain, unsurprisingly) to go back in time, and wind up at odds with
one another. Cue carnage.
Quantum Break is one of the few time-travelling games we find ourselves
wanting to return to; you end up interested in the concept of time traversal
without being overwhelmed by the complexities of it all. The lore and story in
Quantum Break is concealed in emails or flyers found lying around the game
world, and not enforced upon you – ask and you shall receive.
Time is on your side as you use abilities like Time Dodge and Time Blast to
stop or slow the seconds, or quickly dash to the train you're about to mi-... uh,
dodge that bullet that's headed your way. Quantum Break is a shooter with a
difference – use cover to your advantage, but stay still too long, and you won't
live to tell the tale. Use your wit and your temporal abillities to take on the evil
Monarch Solutions, and even take advantage of the awesome cross play on
your PC. Go on, have the time of your life.
