PROBLEM Ÿ Severe conveyor belt misalignment and conveyor belt edge damage originating from side loading of material through the load chute. Ÿ Damaged andmisaligned idler frame sets. SOLUTION Ÿ 1x Belt Tracking Troughing System was installed between the head chute and load chute. This was installed ± 6metres before the load chute Ÿ 1x Belt Tracking Return System ± 8 metres before the tail pulley to align the belt as it passes through the load point. Ÿ Existing idler frame sets before and after the load chute were also aligned to improve the overall conveyor belt alignment. RESULTS Ÿ Great improvement. Ÿ Conveyor belt edge damage is something of the past. Ÿ Plant personnel report that the belt runs true and in line.
