Associated with Epstein-Barr virus
•
More common in Asians and native Americans in
Central and South America
•
Usually involves nasal cavity and/or paranasal sinuses,
Waldeyer’s ring may also be involved
•
Outside the upper aerodigestive tract it presents in
advanced stages and unfavourable prognosis
