Flood Control Strategy, including:
Development of a benefit/cost
analysis for each draft mitigation
strategy;
Evaluating draft mitigation
strategies;
Identifying potential funding
partners;
Developing 3D flood models;
Undertaking PIEVC study on
infrastructure;
Initiating Transportation flood
vulnerability study; and
Development of a Coastal
monitoring system.
Complete the development of cost
effective servicing strategies that the
development community can
implement for the Abbey Ridge LAP,
Redwood Heights NCP, Newton Town
Centre LAP and City Centre NCP;
Initiate the development of cost
effective servicing strategies that the
development community can
implement for the Grandview Heights
Area #3 NCP area and the South
Campbell Heights LAP area; and
Expand service to the older areas of
Surrey to reduce flooding (East Bon
Accord, Robson and Crescent Beach).
Establish a spring SHaRP element to the
2017 SHaRP program that can
accomplish salmonid research in
watercourses and facilitate Capital
Project habitat management tasks;
Integrate the expansion of the East
Clayton Detention Pond B-P4 with park
development; and
Construct the Fleetwood diversion in
conjunction with Parks landscaping of
Walnut Park.
FUTURE INITIATIVES, GOALS & INITIATIVES
Updated IDF curves in City’s design
standards; and
Initiated a study to look at changing
precipitation and its effect on the City’s
drainage infrastructure.
