sible for the development and imple-
mentation of the UNEPnet/Mercure tele-

GRID-Arendal wins the prestigious
"Princes' Award" for the CD-ROM "State
of Environment Reports Sampler with
16 national reports from CEE/NIS coun-
tries", featuring a "Cookbook" with step-
by-step guidelines for producing an en-
vironmental status report.

GRID-Arendal's web site on the Internet,
disseminates environmental information,
and features the first indicator-based
multi-media SoE-Norway and an envir-
onmental GIS Database and Atlas of the
Baltic Region.

GRID-Arendal becomes responsible for
the implementation of UNEP's ENRIN pro-
gramme in Central and Eastern Europe.
