, GRID-Arendal has supported the
United Nations Environment Programme
in helping to
provide people with the foundation for these visions.
We have been working with international government
organisations, national governments, cities, businesses,
research centres, grassroot groups and individuals to help

these visions, and to provide the
reassurance
that
their decisions are based on the
most up-to-date
and
dependable environmental information.
Our work has been both frustrating and inspiring.
The
complexity and difficulty in implementing our mission has
been compensated by its importance and challenge.
