This process and the publication reflect the spirit of
cooperation and partnership that strengthens our efforts
to raise the standard of living of people in southern Africa,
and achieve SADC’s vision of a shared future within a
regional community.
It is also my hope that the contents of this Atlas will provoke
ongoing discussions on climate change and variability, and
provoke the need to take serious actions in development of
resilient strategies.
