Boil

the

above

ingredients

together;

when

cold,

add

pint

fourth-proof

brandy.

Dose.

spoonful

to

wineglassful,

according

to

the

age

of

the

patient,

as

often

as will

be

necessary

to

effect

a

cure.

Warm

water,

sweetened

with

molasses

or

brown

sugar,

taken

freely,

will

in

many

cases

remove

cramp

in

the

stomach

when

opium

and

other

remedies

have

failed.

squill,

balsam

and

valuable
