onsidered to be the world’s most fuel

efficient excavator technology, the

Kobelco range of excavators, of up to

85 tons operating weight, is now available

in South Africa from Eqstra Heavy Equip-

ment (EHE), following the signing of an au-

thorised partnership between EHE and Toy-

ota Tsusho Africa (Pty) Ltd (TTAF). In terms

of this partnership, which brings together

the strength, reliability and might of two

of the major players in the South African

market – Eqstra and TTAF, EHE will market

the tough, reliable and high performance

Kobelco Hydraulic Excavators in South Af-

is combined with reduced CO

emissions

and low noise, low vibration operation. As

the newly authorized distributor of Kobelco

Excavators in South Africa, we at Toyota Tsu-

sho Africa are very proud to introduce these

productive and environmentally friendly

excavators,” says Yoshitaka Shinhara, Divi-

sional General Manager of TTAF.

“The Kobelco range is the perfect fit with our

other Best-in-Class range of heavy equip-

ment, enabling us to provide an excavator

for every application,” says EHE Managing

Director, Ronald Erasmus. “We are proud

to be a partner in making these excavators

available in South Africa, a brand that is syn-

onymous with the highest quality, reliability

and user satisfaction. Kobelco’s attention to

detail in addressing all its users’ require-

ments goes as far as even the colouring of

the machines, selecting a human-friendly

blue-green, rather than the traditional intim-

idating bright yellow.”

Forging relationships for life with their cus-

tomers, EHE, in partnership with TTAF, offers

a comprehensive range of services to the in-

dustrial sector, which includes long and short
