Mini-Circuits’ KAT-D series of MMIC
precision fixed attenuator dice
extend coverage to a wide array of
applications from DC to 43.5GHz
including 5G systems, microwave
communications, satellite, defense
and aerospace, and more. These
fixed-value, absorptive attenuators
are fabricated through highly
repetitive MMIC processing
with thin-film resistors on GaAs
substrates and achieve ultra-
wideband performance with a
single, contiguous ground-plane,
simplifying installation into customer
hybrids. Model KAT-4-D+ provides
4dB attenuation with ±0.7dB
flatness, 1.7W RF power handling,
and 1.2:1 VSWR. KAT-series
attenuator dice are available in gel-
paks of 5, 10, 50 and 100 KGD as
well as partial and full production
wafers.

Mini-Circuits’ Surface-
Mount Low Pass Filter with
High Rejection and Steep
Roll-Off, DC to 50MHz
Mini-Circuits’ ULP-120+ is a
surface-mount low pass filter with a
passband from DC to 120MHz. This
design offers very sharp selectivity
and >40dB stopband rejection in
a miniature, surface-mount form
factor occupying only 0.25x0.25”
of board space. It provides 1.5dB
passband insertion loss, 1.1:1
passband VSWR, and RF input
power handling up to 0.15W.
Designed using high Q capacitors
and chip inductors, the filter provides
excellent reliability, repeatable
performance across production lots,
and consistent performance across
temperatures from -40°C to +100°C.
The unit is designed onto an open
printed laminate with Mini-Circuits’
unique TopHat® feature to improve
speed and accuracy of pick-and-
place assembly.
