BRANDY BURNT.

Place two lumps of sugar in a saucer a nd pour over them a j.igger of

brandy. Set the liquor afire and let it burn until all t he sugar is di ssolved,

mixing and stirring the while. Serve in hot-water glass.

BRANDY BURNT AND PEACH.

FOR DIARRH<EA.

Place two or three. slices of dried peaches in a hot-water glass a nd pour

burnt brandy made according to the preceding recipe over them. Serve with

nutmeg.

A Hot Brandy _Toddy with a piece of roasted cracker on top is a Hot

P lace a cube of sugar in a hot-water glass,

of _boiling water, dissolve the sugar, fill the glass with cognac and ser ve with

grated nutmeg.
