said: "the Irish law in relation to
mentally incapacitated adults and
decision making is in the dark ages
and urgently needs to be reformed. As
a matter of urgency our Government
should request the Irish Law Reform
Commission to make proposals for
reform in this complex area."
The seminar was also addressed by
John Dalton, Registrar of Wards of
Court, who described the duties, role
and functions of the Wards of Court
Office.

The Irish Centre for European Law
