EIGHT GUARD PUNCH

For a party of twenty

Three bottles oj champagne. One bottle of sauterne.

One bottle oj pale sherry. One pineapple, sliced.

One bottle oj Cognac.

Four lemons,sliced.

Sweeten to taste, mix in a punch bowl, cool with a large

lump of ice, and serve immediately.

PHILADELPHIA FISH-HOUSE PUNCH

From a recipe in the possession of Charles G.Leland,Esq."

One-third pint oj lemon oj peach brandy, one-halj

juice.

pint oj Cognac brandy,

Three-quarters pound oj and one-jourth pint oj

white sugar.

Jamaica rum.

One pint oj mixture, com- Two and one-halj pints oj

posed oj one-jourth pint cold water.

The above is generally sufficient for one person.

This is sufficient for a mixed party of twenty, not twenty of the
