Innovative pipe bending solutions
SCHWARZE-Robitec is a manufacturer
of tube cold bending machines. The
German company, founded in 1903,
develops and manufactures tube
bending machines for the automotive,
shipbuilding and offshore industry,
power plant construction and the
chemical industry, as well as special
bending solutions for other branches of
industry.
To improve service for the rising
number of customers from North
America and Mexico, the company has
opened its own subsidiary in Michigan,
USA. Schwarze-Robitec America Inc
president Chris Dorgan and his team,
together with experts from Germany,
will present the entire product line on
booth N8103 at FABTECH in Chicago
(9-12 November).
The range of products includes tube
cold bending machines, bending tools
and application-specific equipment.
Regular customers and new customers
from the USA, Canada and Mexico
benefit from customer-specific on-site
advice, and shorter delivery times for
spare parts.
The company will present its entire
modular, configurable high-performance
machines with newly developed CNC
control system and accessories.
A new addition to the range is an
innovative cutting tool that is claimed
to reduce tube waste by up
to 90 per cent and shorten
production times. While the
previous process required
the use of an external
shear in order to separate
the component from the
tensioning or support
device after the bending
process, the new tool
requires only one work step
to complete the bending
and separation process.
The ‘Quick Tool Unlock’
rapid clamping system
provides further time-
saving potential. The central tensioner
makes changing bending equipment
fast, and without the use of additional
tools.
If different radii are required, or
bend-in-bend systems or tube systems
(manifolds and exhaust pipes) must
be produced, Schwarze-Robitec
recommends tool bending machines
with multi-radius bending tools that can
be adjusted individually.

spare parts procurement, machine
maintenance and inspections,
and advises users with regard to
modifications, major overhauls of

Enhancement of Ecocontrol
display and control units
SIKORA’s display and control units of
the Ecocontrol series enable precise
regulation of production lines, resulting
in a high repeatability and stability of
processes. The units are combinable
with all Sikora measuring systems and
offer relevant data for the regulation of
processes quickly and clearly.
In order to facilitate the production
work for machine operators, Sikora has
enhanced the Ecocontrol
600 and Ecocontrol 1000
devices with some practical
features. Both devices
have been equipped with
intuitive control elements
at the front and a USB port
for the optional storage
of production data on an
external storage medium.
In addition, the
operating system of the
Ecocontrol devices has
been updated to Windows® Embedded,
enabling a modern and structured
display of measuring as well as trend
and statistical data. On an 8" or 15"
TFT display, the Ecocontrol 600 and
Ecocontrol 1000 offer the operator time
and length related values, graphical
visualisation, comprehensive statistics
at minimal, maximal and nominal values,
information on the standard deviation as
well as Cp and Cpk values.

with practical features
