Wire & Cable ASIA – January/February 2015

Industry

news

THE latest edition of wire China

featured industry leaders from all

corners of the globe and presented

an excellent opportunity for both

exhibitors and visitors alike.

Shanghai HOSN took up 180m

2

of

central exhibition space where it

showcased the latest technical

innovations, provided a meeting area

for consulting with clients, and

impressed onlookers with its visual

presentations.

With corporate synergy at its core

and a progressive company-wide

strategy, HOSN was primed to

leverage its key strengths to create

prosperous business relationships.

Under the pragmatic leadership of its

general manager David Xu and

operating under the auspices of Hold

Manufacturing since 1999, HOSN has

grown organically and always looked to

maximise its global outreach. True to

form clients and suppliers alike, from

the EMEA, the Americas and Asia, were

attracted to its prime real estate.

Welcomed by an international and

multi-lingual staff, it was an excellent

focal point for all. The centrepieces

were the twist strander and laying up/

armouring machines which flanked

the exhibit and attracted much praise.

For a company once branded

‘energetic’ by a foreign counterpart,

HOSN lived up to its billing. The

proactive regional sales force

engaged downstream members of its

supply chain whilst hospitality staff

offered a range of beverages and

local delicacies.

Looking beyond the contracts settled

and the bonds forged, the company

says that the event sent a clear

message: ‘We are the benchmark, we

are the wiring company that China

deserves.’

HOSN delight at wire China

wire China has grown into one of the main events in the

wire and cable calendar – and Windak has attended each

one since 2008.

The company finds the exhibition an ideal opportunity to

meet up with existing customers, and to gather

information on new trends and the general market.

Many organisations and companies have based cable

production in China due to the large market and potential

sales.

The general labour cost is steadily increasing and

companies are seizing the opportunity to look to

automation of machinery, with Windak placed to help in

the market place.

The Windak stand introduced its latest offers through the

new line QuickPack QP3, a fully automatic cable coiling

and packaging machine, which proved popular.

Its concept is based on simplicity and maximum output.

The model has been designed to accommodate a range

of product diameter up to 7mm with maximum speed up

to eight coils per minute.

This new generation machine is faster, with more servo

control and fewer settings, and is claimed to give

customers a quicker return.
