Quality counts for 2015
Happy new year! 2015 kicks off with our January issue full of news
from the wire and cable industry – including a breakdown of
record-breaking wire China from last year. This starts on page 10 and
continues on pages 22, 23, 24 and 25.
Privately owned Chinese Taizhou Daming Stainless Steel Co is also
starting the new year on a bright note – by upgrading its existing bar
mill to increase quality for its customers. See page 20.
Also in this issue, RSCC Nuclear Cable has delivered safety-related
replacement cables for the Korea Hyrdo Nuclear power plant in South
Korea. The full story is on page 8.
UK company Alstom Grid has won another major HVDC contract to
support power provision, also in Seoul, South Korea. The story is on
page 16.
There is also a short report on the success of last year’s WIRE AND
CABLE INDIA, which can be found on page 46. A big thank you to

The lady on the left is also certain to feature in
our March issue, the Earth Goddess being one of
the main focal points of the Botanical Gardens in
Atlanta, USA, which plays host to Interwire in
