The Safety Instrumented system will include high high level switch elements on the distillate
and additive tanks although no automated final elements will be installed.
On detection of any storage tank high high level, fault or power supply failure, the output is
removed to the relay, resulting in the annunciator for that tank illuminating. Manual
intervention would be required.
The additive tanks are not in service and the level sensors associated with these tanks have
been linked out.
The system will also shut down flow to the gasoline tanks in the event of a high level in the
Marine Gas oil tanks (Tanks 2 & 4).
