LAND REGISTRY

The Council lias been informed, in reply to

an enquiry on the subject, that a regulation

has been made under which

returnable

documents lodged in the Central or Local

Offices of the Land Registry have to be

taken up by a personal call at the office,

and will not be returned by post as hereto–

fore. This change has been made owing to

the heavy expense involved in the postage of

returnable documents.

In any case in which the Solicitor con–

cerned remits

the necessary postage his

documents will be returned to him by post,

as hitherto.
