PLAYING
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is the long-awaited
follow-up to 2011’s Human Revolution, and boy
does it deliver, giving you more choice than
ever in methods to dispose of your enemies,
undertake the office coffee run, and even
whether you get out of bed in the morning.
DXMD returns you to Eidos Montreal’s
immersive world, where you can use either
stealth or brute force to achieve your goals;
it’s totally up to you how you play, making for a highly personal
experience, and one that isn’t likely to be replicated anywhere
else. There are so many options when it comes to playthroughs,
loadouts and specs, that you’d most likely have to be sitting
right next to someone to have the same experience as them.
Mankind Divided’s setting is the mechanical apartheid. Augs
(mechanically augmented humans) have been shunned from
society and now live in fear and hiding. As Adam Jensen, it's
your job to use your detective and weaponry prowess to join up
with Task Force 29 and unravel an Illuminati conspiracy buried
within a plot to bring Prague back to the top of the food chain.
Combining stealth and RPG elements with that of
a third-person shooter, DXMD becomes a realistic
future simulator worth every James Barnes-esque
mechanical arm.
