I he R.C.S.I. was founded in 1784. It conducts an

International I 'ndergraduate Medical School for the training

and education of Doctors. It also has responsibility lor the

further educ ation of Surgeons, Radiologists, Anaesthetists,

I lentists and Nurses. Many of its students come from Third

World Countries, and they return to work there on completion

ol their studies.

Medical Research is also an important element of the College's

activities. Cancer, I hromboses. Blindness, Blood Pressure,

Mental Handic ap and Birth Delects are just some ol the human

ailments which are presently the subject of detailed research.

I he ( ollege is an independent and pnvale institution which is

financed largely through gilts, donations, and endowments.

Your assistance would he very much appreciated, and would

help to keep the ( ollege and Ireland in the forefront of Medical

Research and Education.

For tax purposes, the R.C.S.I, is regarded by the Revenue

( ommissioners as a Charity. I herefore, gifts and donations

may qualify the donors lor tax relief.
