I. CURRENT BUSINESS

Activities - Kim Miedema

Kim updated the Board on details provided by Leslie Leitch on the August

15 Nautical Mile Yacht Club rendezvous at NCYC; the number of boats is

estimated at between 8 to 10.

Kim received a request from a member to allow a group of approximately

80 people within General Motors to use the Island for a company picnic

during a weekday to be determined, during the week of September 7 or

14. The hours of the event would be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There would

be a need for Fin service and bar staff. Discussion ensued on NCYC's

established policies regarding such events. It was decided that Kim

would provide the GM member with an overview of NCYC's policies. If

agreement is reached with the GM group, their request would be

presented to the Board for approval.

A request was received from the sponsoring organization of the 19th

Annual Fun Run for Special Olympics. The organization requests approval

to use NCYC as a poker run stop on Wednesday June 24, from 2:30 p.m.

to 4 p.m. The size of the group is estimated at 260 people; 60 boats (24 -

60 feet in length).

Motion:
