Praise for Guangzhou show

Visitors at the three-day exhibition

WIRE & Cable Guangzhou 2016 drew its
curtains amid great praise from both
exhibitors and visitors. The fair, which
ran in at the China Import and Export
Fair Complex in China, was organised by
China Southern Power Grid Media Co
Ltd, Guangzhou BoYou Exhibition
Service Co Ltd, and Guangzhou
Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd.
The three-day show was attended by
350 companies and 18,869 visitors from
25 countries and regions.
The 2016 edition spanned a total
exhibition space of 22,000m
2
and
presented an extensive display of South
China’s latest products and innovations
in wires and cables, manufacturing
machinery as well as related materials
and accessories. Some of the leading
brands that were in attendance included
Jiangsu Tongguang, Guangdong Huada,
Jinglan Cable, Shandong Pacific,
Shenzhen
Bendakang,
Shenzhen
Shencable,
Yunnan
Zhengxiao,
Dongguan Gemyoung, Guangzhou
Cable Works, and Guangzhou Honghui.
Jinglan Cable Co Ltd, which specialises
in power and electrical cables for power
and control applications, joined the fair in
hopes of expanding its presence in
South China. Mr Sun, a representative
from the company, said: “The response
we have received from visitors has been
overwhelming. In fact, on just the first
day, we met potential clients from Saudi
Arabia as well as those from within
China from cities such as Guangzhou
and Guiyang.”
Guangzhou Honghui Electrician &
Machinery Co Ltd, another exhibitor at
the fair, also applauded the effectiveness
of the show. Mr Fang Zhi from the
company was impressed by the fair’s
organisation and as well as its results.
He said: “We have fetched a number of
solid leads from India, Iran, Japan and
the USA. Another company from Japan
has already placed an order for a few
machines from us and we are thrilled by
the outcome of our participation.”
Some of the buying delegations that
were present included the Guangdong

Province Power Engineering Association,
China Wire & Cable Technology
Information Union, Guizhou Power Grid,
Henan Electric Power Construction
Enterprises
Association,
Liaoning
Province Power Engineering Association,
Zhengwei Technology (Shenzhen), and
Zhuhai Power Trade Association.
Mr Bhavesh Modi, CMD of Jaggery
Wires & Cables Pvt Ltd in India, praised
the quality of the exhibitors and the
collection of products and solutions he
found at the show. He said: “I am
looking for wire machinery and materials
from China for our wire and copper
cable manufacturing plant. After only a
few meetings, we are planning to make a
purchase from a machinery supplier I
met here today.”
The first edition of the Wire and Cable
Asia Forum, which ran alongside the
exhibition, welcomed more than 700
industry experts. A total of 19
conferences and seminars were held,
with topics ranging from government
policies to the manufacturing of
high-voltage cables and power grid
projects to standards for electric
vehicles.
