Rapid growth and ‘green’
focus spotlights Asia
Industry 4.0, regenerative power and growth, it seems, are nothing
new these days. Changes are happening quickly within the industry –
and perhaps nowhere more so than in Asia.
It does seem fitting that the industry turns its attention to both China
and India, with the staging of wire China and Wire & Cable India at the
end of September and beginning of October.
China’s growth seems to have been unparalleled for many years now –
and this will again be reflected in this year’s exhibition, with a further
decade forecast of increasing demand for wind power, solar power
and nuclear power, all placing demands on the wire and cable
industry.
This is also set against the backdrop of growing awareness for green
and energy-saving development. Our coverage of the exhibition starts
on page 82.
Just a week or so later, the Indian subcontinent is thrust into the
limelight with the staging of Wire & Cable India in Mumbai.
Growing steadily over a number of years, this show in many ways
highlights all the advantages available to both domestic companies
and investors alike.
This year more than 400 exhibitors from 25
different countries will be heading for Mumbai,
some of which can be found in our preview
section which starts on page 99.
