sional schools or graduate programs. The Natural Sciences curriculum thoroughly prepares our students for careers in a number of
important and rewarding fields, including medicine, dentistry, basic and applied biological research, veterinary medicine, management,
computer science, teaching, biotechnology, health care conservation and management, law, engineering, economics, environmental

Julianne is spearheading Project
Smile, a dental outreach program in Guatemala. She
is a member of Ohana, a Polynesian cultural dance
club, and is conducting undergraduate research.
PLANS AFTER GRADUATION:
Julianne plans to pursue
becoming a dentist with a focus on giving dental
care to underprivileged patients around the world.

David works in Professor Kevin Mitchell’s research
lab and is a member of the Society of Physics Students club. He enjoys
time working as an outdoor leader for UC Merced’s Outdoor Adventure
Program.
PLANS AFTER GRADUATION:
David plans to spend the summer laying on the
beaches along the California coast, and then returning to academia as a
graduate student in Fall 2013.
