Out the year : Saputara means "abode of serpents". It is a
picturesque hill resort. It is situated on the second highest pla-
teau of the Sahyadri range. The plateau of Saputara overlooks a
picturesque lush valley. The tribal inhabitants of the valley have
a distinct heritage of folk dance & music.
